About your teacher

Hi, I’m Laura!

I'm a Yoga Alliance accredited experienced yoga teacher, an Early Years and Primary School teacher, and an Artist Educator—and Laura's Yoga Club was born out of my love for three things: children, yoga, and art.

Why I created this training:

For seven years, I taught in primary schools across Manchester and London, and I saw the same challenge again and again: children were being fast-tracked through an intense academic curriculum and a whirlwind of social challenges, but they weren't being given the tools to understand their bodies, minds, or emotions.

When I started teaching yoga to children, I witnessed something powerful. Children became better able to articulate how they felt, understand their emotions, cope with stress, develop body awareness, and self-regulate.

Why my approach is different:

As an Artist Educator with a Masters from UCL in arts education, I learned that children thrive when we shift from product-driven to process-led learning—giving them freedom to explore, create, and discover rather than following rigid, prescribed plans. I've brought this philosophy into every aspect of my children's yoga teaching.

There's a beautiful link between yoga and art: both invite playfulness, imagination, and self-expression. This training weaves them together to equip you with creative, inspiring, joyful ways to teach children's yoga—because life is too short for boring plans.

Everything I've learned—from the classroom, from museums and galleries, from years of teaching yoga to little ones—has been lovingly poured into this course to help you bring a toolbox of skills to the children you'll work with.

Much love,

Laura X
